Cool N Collective is a wonderful Ontario-bred gelding. He was owned by Michael Repole and is one of the oldest horses to race in NY. He raced to be 13. He started racing at 3 and raced for 10 years. His last race was a claiming race at Aqueduct. He won the Elgin Stakes (he raced in the Elgin Stakes 5 times!) at Woodbine and then went to Fort Erie to come in 3rd in the Prince of Wales, the second jewel of the Canadian Triple Crown. He raced in many stakes races including the Skip Away Stakes, the Frisk Me Now Stakes, the Pegasus Handicap which he placed in, and the Kelso Handicap. He raced mostly at the NYRA tracks, Monmouth, Woodbine, Churchill Downs, and Suffolk Downs. Cool raced 81 times and was in the money an amazing 55 times (15-27-13). He was presented to JoAnn Pepper and Michael Blowen on Wood Memorial Day at Aqueduct prior to the 6th race. The 6th race on that specific day was designated as the Cool N’ Collective, his official day of retirement. Cool made $678,836 and made his mark in the racing world. Cool was trained by Bruce Brown and bred by Winsong Farms.
